Green Marine has been named as a finalist for the Lloyd’s List Global Awards 2015 that will be presented at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London, on October 1, 2015. The Green Marine environmental program was selected from an international pool of nominees as one of seven finalists for the Environment Award.
Green Marine received the Lloyd’s List North American Maritime Award last night for Environmental Excellence. Being the recipient of this prestigious North American award is a great honour for Green Marine. “The Green Marine initiative has grown rapidly and the number of participants has almost tripled since the program’s inception in 2007, with the latest count being 90 and steadily rising,” noted David Bolduc, Green Marine’s executive director, after the ceremony in Houston, TX. “This award is a testament to the program’s success and, even more importantly, to its relevance and credibility throughout North America.”

The St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES) presented Green Marine’s executive director, David Bolduc, with the XXI St. Lawrence Award.
Green Marine received the Association québécoise du transport et des routes’ Environment Award at the AQTR’ s Excellence in Transportation Awards Gala. The Environment Award recognizes an original, coherent, reproducible environmental project, which uses effective measuring tools to reduce transportation impacts on the environment thereby promoting sustainable development.
A mere two years after its official launch, Green Marine is already among the finalists at the Sustainable Shipping Awards 2010. Along with two other finalists, Green Marin is nominated in the Green Shipping Initiative of the Year category, one of six categories in the competition whose prestigious prize is designed to highlight and reward environmental excellence in initiatives taken by the marine industry around the world.
Green Marine received the prestigious Sustainable Shipping Award for Green Shipping Initiative of the Year for 2011 at the gala presentations held yesterday evening at the Radisson Blu Hotel in London, England. The award celebrates and rewards the important work that is going on worldwide to assist the marine industry in improving environmental efficiency.
