Greenhouse gas emissions from ships are one-tenth of those generated by trucks and one-half of those produced by trains (g/ton-kilometer).
Any company doing business with a marine transportation
company may also support Green Marine by becoming a partner.

Marine companies that are not eligible to be participants of the environmental program can still promote the program by becoming partners. Potential partners include companies that do business with ship operators, ports and terminals, such as:

Partners undertake to promote the environmental program and receive a variant of the Green Marine logo that they can use to demonstrate their support of the Green Marine invitiaitve.
