A Shared Responsibility
Any marine business wishing to improve the environmental
performance of its operational practices can participate
to the Green Marine program.

PARTICIPANTS

Green Marine is first and foremost a voluntary commitment on the part of marine industry businesses for whom improved environmental performance is a key priority. More specifically, the program targets marine industry sectors active on the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes in Canada and the U.S.:

  • Domestic and international shipowners
  • Ports and terminals
  • Stevedoring companies
  • Shipyards
  • St. Lawrence Seaway 

Participants that have fulfilled the requirements of the program receive the Green Marine seal of certification, which they may use to show their commitment to continuous environmental improvement.
