STQ launches North America’s first LNG ferry

The Société des traversiers du Québec (STQ), a Quebec government corporation operating maritime transport for passengers, launched today North America’s first liquefied natural gas-fueled ferry. The MV F.-A. Gauthier, with hundreds of passengers on board, was commissioned to ensure the marine link between Matane and Baie-Comeau, replacing MV Camille-Marcoux.
