Centrally located within the Hamilton Port Authority (HPA), Yellowline Asphalt Products has signed on as a participant to Green Marine, the leading voluntary environmental initiative for the maritime industry on the continent. Yellowline is entering its liquid asphalt cement terminal into the environmental certification program. Yellowline operates a brand new facility located on the Port’s redeveloped Pier 22.
Green Marine received the Lloyd’s List North American Maritime Award last night for Environmental Excellence. Being the recipient of this prestigious North American award is a great honour for Green Marine. “The Green Marine initiative has grown rapidly and the number of participants has almost tripled since the program’s inception in 2007, with the latest count being 90 and steadily rising,” noted David Bolduc, Green Marine’s executive director, after the ceremony in Houston, TX. “This award is a testament to the program’s success and, even more importantly, to its relevance and credibility throughout North America.”
Green Marine has been named as a finalist for the Lloyd’s List North American Maritime Awards 2015 to be presented February 18th in Houston.
The Green Marine environmental program was selected from an international pool of nominees as one of six finalists for the Environmental Excellence Award.
