CSL Group adds its Australia division to the Green Marine program

The Canadian headquarters of CSL Group, Canada Steamship Lines, is one of Green Marine founding participants. The CSL Group will now benchmark its Australian vessels environmental performance against Green Marine criteria. The U.S. based division, CSL Americas is also a Green Marine participant. Established in 1999, CSL Australia Ltd. (CSLA) is today the largest owner of Australian-registered vessels operating in Australian waters and the major supplier of shipping services to the construction and building industries. CSL Australia operates bulk cargo vessels in the coastal waters of Australia, with a transshipment business in the Spencer Gulf, the Whyalla transshipment facility, including a transshipment platform, one ship and two barges. Based in Sydney, the company also operates a fleet of nine vessels, consisting of six self-unloaders, two pneumatic cement carriers and a long-term charter.
